Archifest is Singapore's annual architecture festival organized by Singapore Institute of Architects. I was a key player in the winning design team of RSP Architects for Archifest 2013.
The Archifest is a platform for local and regional communities of creative individuals, thinkers and enthusiasts of the built environment to engage each other and the public in imagining a city of the future through initiating change in the present. Selected from a design competition open to architects, it is imagined to be a temporary, outdoor recreational venue, which reinvents out experience of public space in Singapore, providing a comfortable and multi-sensorial experience of the city to be enjoyed by everyone.
We sourced reusable construction materials from construction sites and built the pavilion using these materials; we returned the materials after the festival ending keeping the entire event under budget and sustainable. The façade was constructed using construction nets; we made tote bags that visitors can rip off and keep from the event!
